Si Cranstoun

Si Cranstoun

Si Cranstoun exploded onto de rock & roll scene in 2011 with his fast paced jive Dynamo, which has an infectious groove that brings a new dimension to the beats that hark back to the golden era of Rock’n’Roll. Having been compared vocally to both Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson, Si Cranstoun’s passion for music sees him write, produce and record all of his own tracks, much like the bandleaders of those glory times gone by.
For the first release from his debut album Dance Halls & Supper Clubs - the single Rise & Shine is an uptempo future classic that calls out for folk to hop and twist outta bed and into the day. ‘Stop snoozin’, get movin’!’

Aside from his incendiary guitar and thunderous vocals on stage, Cranstoun prides himself on his high octane boogie routine that crosses between Justin Timberlake and Gene Kelly’s. Si and his band, which features some of London’s most revered musicians, including Mike Watts on Drums (drummer for Grammy nominee James Hunter) and Stewart Pannaman on double Bass (bass player for American R&B legend Nappy Brown), have already been booked for festivals across the globe throughout 2012.

“A timeless classic....’ John Kennedy, XFM Radio
“A cracking little tune....with a sweet compulsive late-fifties R&B lick”   Blues & Soul
“Si sounds so much like my father it’s scary!”   Bobby Brooks Hamilton (Jackie Wilson’s Son)
